"We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:" - Romans 15:1-5
"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." - 2 Corinthians 11:14-15.
The commission God gave to Moses, which was transferred to Joshua after his death was that he should go and possess the land of the Cannanites, the Hivites, the Hitites, the Amorites, the Perzzites and the Jebusites. The Lord said to them. "I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and thou shall drive them out from before thee. Thou shall make no covenant with them ...they shall not dwell in thy land."- Exodus 23:27-33, Deuteronomy 6:18-19, 22-24.
“Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest...” -Joshua 1:6-9 (KJV)
Joshua served the Lord until he was very old in age. During his last days, he gathered all the tribes of Israel at Shechem and gave them what seemed to be his last admonition and said:
“And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and olive yards which ye planted not do ye eat. Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: But as for ME &MY HOUSE, we will serve the LORD.” - Joshua 24:13-15
Peace With God
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." -Romans 5:1-2
